Initiatives in Education
Maggie Johnson (maggiejohnson) - 10/20/2009
Google believes that all students should have the opportunity to become active creators of tomorrows technology. Through our diverse set of education efforts, we invest in the next generation of computer scientists and engineers, providing opportunities for all students to engage more directly in technology. To do this, we are focusing our education efforts in four strategic areas, with an emphasis on computing in core curriculum. Maggie Johnson is Director of Education and University Relations for Google. She manages all technical training and leadership development programs for Google engineers and operations staff, as well as Googles educational outreach efforts. She also manages the university relations area, building strategic partnerships with faculty and labs globally. Prior to Google, Maggie was a faculty member and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Computer Science at Stanford University.
